I think I'm doing something right here

My four year old is the most stubborn, active, and loud kid ever. He's super smart though, which is great but it adds to his stubborn/mischeviousness, lol.
But this kid is one of the most empathetic kids ever when he wants to be and I love it. He likes to hug people when they look sad. He'll give anyone whatever they want when they're crying. My friend pretended to cry once because he wouldn't give her a hug and he instantly drops the "no way!" act and runs to hug her.
Last night he asked me to come lay down with him when he was going to sleep. So I came and laid down next to him on his bed. I covered him up and he goes "No, wait!" He sits up and covers ME with his blanket, and starts to rub my arm and "brush" my hair. I said "Here, let me rub your back." and he says "Nooo, I'm just rubbing you now!"
I love this kid. His sweet moments definitely make up for all of his bratty ones

Aw so sweet! My DS does the same thing, he's not an angry person at all. We went to a Birthday party where they had a pinata and all the other kids were beating the smurf out of it and my son was just lightly tapping it with the stick lol He's a lover not a fighter
