Tv?

So we almost always have our tv on but hardly watch it. This morning I got up and I was up with ds for two hours with him screaming like a mad man. I tried everything in the world I could hint of. Finally I set him down. And turn the tv on and go to make coffee. I come out of the kitchen and he's quietly sitting on the floor playing. I turn tv the off he cries turn it on he stops. But he's not looking at it. Is this normal?

I would start cutting it out bit by bit.

Lol that's what I was worried about. We just love the background noise I guess I never thought that just because I'm not watching it doesn't mean he's not.
