But you are only being pro-life when it comes to fetus' - not people. You can't claim to be pro-life and then say people should die.

Yeah, I hate how they pass over perfectly wonderful, loving families for some of the ridiculous reasons that they do - like being homosexual, certain medical issues, things like that.

I remember listening to a speech given by a gay man. He said it would be easier to adopt as a single man than with a gay partner. Ridiculous.

Also, even Sandra Bullock had to wait four years (married too) in order to adopt her son Louis and she is a millionaire with a clean record!

SHM - it blows my mind. I cannot imagine how I would feel if I were a foster child and I learned that I had the opportunity to go to a great family and be adopted....but oh! Wait! They were gay, so I would have to continue living with my abusive molesters.

me and my hubby are interested in adopting two kids. we went to talk to someone about it and they pretty much laughed at us because we were just married, didn't have the money right then and there and we are young... i'm 25 hes 27?? i actually cried after meeting with this lady, she looked like she hated her job... but it sucks how long it takes and how much money it costs, i wish there was a way around it.

Could you try adopting through the foster care system? I know fostering kids is super difficult at times, but I have a friend whose sister started out fostering children (I know they were not over age 30, I don't know if there are age limits for fostering, though) and she ended up adopting a little boy that she had fostered since he was 1 1/2, after a year of him being in the home, they were able to start the adoption process.

we were thinking about that... my best friend is adopted along with her sister and brother, their mom did foster care for years! i remember i helped her in high school and she also had an in home daycare, well she was expecting a little boy 3 years old to be staying with her because of his mothers "problems" and what not.. when he showed up he was full of bruises and was scared of everyone. my heart broke, he did so good with us was gaining weight everything, then it broke even more when they said he's going back home. She had him for 6 months and wanted to adopt when she went to file to adopt or do what you gotta do they said no that his mother is fine and doesn't wanna give him up. i was so shocked and i wanted to hurt the person. Thats the only thing i'm scared about, is having a child for so long then them being taken again.. but i still plan on doing it and her moms gonna help me. but i guess here it is a long process.

Well about 40% of all abortions worldwide occur in places where it's illegal, so that just tells you that making it illegal does nothing. Except kill more women. And ensure there are more babies in trash cans, more cases of abuse, more people on welfare, more unwanted children in foster care, more taxpayer money being spent to care for unwanted babies...like I can't name one good thing to come of outlawing abortion.
