A lot of people who say they want to adopt in actuality never do. Talk the talk but won't walk the walk.

As for adopting from Africa, I would. Talk about poverty at its worst. Those children don't stand a chance and have no opportunity. At least American children have access to free education and food.

True, to an extent, but I have seen TOO many children go through the hell of the foster care system, which, quite honestly, can be almost as bad. Some of those foster parents are complete monsters.

my brother in law still to this day has problems because of what the foster mother did to him & no one believed him. I had the same problem when i was put in foster care.

Okay. I am a prolife advocate and member of the NRLC (National Right to Life Council). We fight/protest for the right of babies to be born in the US.

Why would someone claiming to be prolife (you), say ignorant things that HURT the prolife movement?

Very true. The foster care system is horrible and for that reason I think the government should make it easier for qualified people to adopt. So many hoops to jump through, I honestly can't blame someone for adopting over seas.

India. I'm specifically going to volunteer at an orphanage for girls for a month in Sikkim province during my summer break from school in Bangalore.

To be pro-life in general is ignorant. Prolifers care more about a fetus before it is born but don't want to pay for programs that would give them a chance at life after they are born. Pro-choice people worry more about the quality of life while prolifers focus too much on the quantity of lives.

thats awesome, i've been trying for 2 years to join the peace corps but still no luck? i don't get why.
i also do a lot with child abuse and DV. i volunteer for the woman and children shelter (i guess you could say) and help the moms with their children, educate on being aware of child abuse and all that but have been wanting to travel outside the US. it's an amazing thing your doing.

What makes them any different than us? why do we get to live but not them? Im not exactly sure of how Im supposed to answer this. I came off as a bitch, but thats how I feel about abortion. Im pro-life when it comes to abortion. I believe that baby should be able to live. If Im not making sense then Im sorry, I dont know how else to put this.

i've always agreed with that but i figured that out more as soon as i got attacked for having an opinion lol
not being rude towards anyone reading this! everyone has an opinion though.
