WIC gives different brands depending on what state you're in. If she's doing well, on Similac, she might do just as well on Gerber or Enfamil so give those a try if that's what they provide and then if she doesn't do well on what they provide, doctor can write a note for Similac.

Darn I don't want to switch her the enfamil had her spitting up and pooping non stop. I could tell it wasn't working well with her. My friend uses gerber that's why I knew WIC here for sure provides gerber. But she does fine with similac I would hate to try gerber and it makes her sick again. My computer is on the floor and I can't t on the floor because this C-Section so its hard to look up things.

NY they give enfamil but if you get a prescription from the doctor to whichever milk your LO needs, then they give you that, but only powder. We get similac alimentum.

It all depends on the state you live in. Several states I've lived in give Good Start only or a different one with a prescription. Others gave Similac only (same thing with the prescription). So you'd have to get a script from the pedi for any other formula that's not listed as an accepted formula for WIC. For example, DD has reflux and is on Similac Sensitive for Spit-Up (the green can). This is an accepted formula for WIC in my area. However, if I were to switch her to Enfamil AR, she'd need a script from her pedi.

Gerbers a really good brand, and if she doesn't respond well to the switch, they have Gerber sensitive.
