PP Pain

I have had a smurf ton of pain after my last. I didn't have any vaginal pain, just hip and uterine pain. It hurts like a period from hell. I had him almost 4 weeks ago and the pain isn't letting up. My lower back still hurts like the day I had him.
My concern is that I had a Paragard inserted immediately after he was born. He literally placed it after I delivered the placenta and before they removed the baby from my chest to be weighed. The DR advised that the highest risk was expulsion from pp bleeding. I am starting to wonder if the risk for the IUD going through my uterus would be higher too, considering how much it shrinks afterwards. There is no extra pain when I press on my belly though... Is this much pp pain normal?

My OB said to go to the ER if I was experiencing pain with Motrin   Smurfing really?! They think Vitamin M solves all issues. My guts hurt
