Growth Spurt
posted 17th Nov
I work 8.5 - 9 hour days, my DS drinks my expressed milk while I am at work. I think he either just went through a growth spurt or is headed to one. How does a baby boost your milk supply if he can't feed from you near constant?

how old is he? Have you considered food yet depending on how old he is of course. I just tried to pump as much as possible on my spare time. I have this paper well its a magnet and it tells me how long I can store it in frig or freezer if nessecary. unfortunately with my second I only got very little milk supply and I was told by my babies doc we had to supplement with formula. I hope it goes better with this baby ones March comes around.

Lol! I guess its just pump whenever you can. He is a little early for cereal yet sometimes that can help a little. My friend tried to give her son cereal early because she is having problems making enough and he got really upset about it. So she just tries to do it in her free time at work, but they have a special room for her.

I pump at work. I pump in the middle of the night as well. I usually pump 4-5 times a day and feed him 4-5 times a day. I make a decent amount of milk, I was just wondering how the supply&demand thing works if I'm not always here for him to demand it.

Normally milk supply won't decrease as long as you keep pumping, but I'm not sure how your body knows when to produce more.
