Moby Wrap.

posted 17th Nov
Do you have one?
Do you like it?
Does it work well with newborns (less than a month old)?
Does it feel stable? Do you ever worry about LO falling out of it?
I've red a lot of reviews that say it is difficult to put on, your opinion?

anything you have to say, good or bad, is much appreciated. I'm thinking about getting myself one of these for Christmas.

TIA

I looooooved my moby! Once I learned how to tie it, it was very easy to use and learning to tie it took all of a day. It worked great through the newborn stage and beyond

Thanks!
While you were in the trial stage of learning to wrap it were you ever worried about your little one falling out of it?

I also read some reviews that stated that it's hard to fit both baby and boobs if you have a larger chest...?

First I loved it, then hated it during the summer, now I love it again. I got it when DD was adjusted age 3 months, but I think there's a weight requirement on it just FYI.

It's not that hard once you have done it a few times. I think it's easier to do now that she's a bit bigger. When we go out to a few places in the car I will leave it on while driving as opposed to putting it back on each time we get out.

After youve tied it a few times you get used to it..

I loved it for a newborn, and up. My kids just got too big too fast. I got an ergo by 5 months. Not so bad on my back.

I was afraid at first, but the more I wore it the more comfortable I got with her being in it. If it's too loose and baby does start to slip, you feel it pretty quick.

I had DD's and honestly had no problems with fit, but I think your build has an influence too. I'm really petite so I think that's why my boobs posed no real challenge.

I'm 5'11 and a D cup...do you think that'd be a problem?

If you are concerned about size, I am very overweight and it still fits me fine. It's one of the reasons I got the Moby

Do you have one? Yes
Do you like it? Yes! Love it
Does it work well with newborns (less than a month old)? I thought so. I think it suggests not using it until your child is 8 lbs, but mine was almost 7 at birth so it wasn't much of a wait. I preferred using it when she was younger. Now that she's heavier it doesn't feel as safe.
Does it feel stable? Do you ever worry about LO falling out of it? I didn't at that age because she wasn't moving around as much. She's now 8 months old and weighs a ton. I'm not comfortable using it at this point without a hand to be safe.
I've red a lot of reviews that say it is difficult to put on, your opinion? Not at all. A monkey could figure it out. You'll be fine.

I really liked it and used it ALOT when she was younger (1-3 months). After that I started using it less. I used it maybe two or three times lately (she's 8 months old now) and it just feels kind of awkward. She's heavy now and I feel that the fabric just stretches too much. I have to keep tightening it down so she feels secure. It was really worth it though in the beginning when they just want snuggled nonstop but you've got other stuff to do too. Multi-tasking was a super easy!

I love my Moby but I wish I would have gotten a woven wrap now. You're limited to front and hip positions and sticking them on your back makes it SO much easier to get housework done. I constantly bump into her like I did when I was pregnant when she's on the front.

It took me forever to figure it out, but mainly because I would try it when I was already frustrated and get pissed off at it the first try. Wrap it really tight, especially with a newborn, and stretch it around the baby instead of trying to leave space. Once you get it right, you'll know because baby will feel totally weightless.

I never felt like mine was going to fall out unless I had it tied too lose (then it feels like she could fall out the top if I bend over.) It's usually crossed under the butt no matter what the position.

I love mine wuth chunky man. I wrap it on me before we go somewhere, then just pop him in when we get there. He's 8 weeks and i've used it since he was born.
