toddler home cough remedies

Poor LO is coughing his lungs and we have medicine to help him. we dont have any honey either. is there any home remedies that work?

eucalyptus oil!!!!! I swear by it

Warm apple juice with honey.

warm tea.
lemon.
humidifier.
vicks on feet with socks.
vicks on back/chest.
steam from a hot shower and my fav one is:
boil water in a pot, put it in a bowl on a dresser or something out of reach, then add a few drops of peppermint, eucalyptus, or lavander essential oil.

If you have some onions & sugar, it makes a really good cough syrup. Sounds gross, but that's what my mom did when we little.
