overweight on the pill?

i just got my rx for ortho cyclen (generic is previfem) and will start it when i start my cycle but i'm overweight and the last bc i was on was the patch and did fine with that but wasnt as overweight as I am now.. did anyone have any problems being overweight and on bc pills?? thanks

I couldn't even get the patch because of my weight. I'm on the pill now and it's working just fine.

Well, I am prone to migraines as it is. So, they gave me horrible migraines. I don't know if that had anything to do with my weight at the time, but I guess it is possible?

I was overweight when I was on it and I was fine. I was about 230-245lbs at 5'6" on it.

at the time on the patch i was under 200 but now im 5*4 and 200      but my dr didnt say anything about my weight.. just nervous i'll stroke out and die or something. In the process of trying to loose the extra weight but just nervous UGH

i didnt have any problem with being on the pill with being overweight before i had kids

Plenty of people are on BC and overweight. Doctors tend to downplay the risks, but the truth is, they ARE higher if you are overweight. How is your blood pressure? I had a friend who was overweight with high BP, and on BC and stroked at 23. Her doctor should have never prescribed her the BC IMO. Everything has its risks in medicine.

my blood pressure has been pretty normal but when i was at the dr it was higher in the 140's/80's usually in the 118-120's and today it was 139 when i checked it so i'm a little nervous taking it. * but ive been stressed lately too so i think thats causing my bp to rise.
