Why men cheat?

I am just curious as to what you believe the reasons are...can you believe that some men are just horny and cannot use self control? Or do you believe that there are more deep-rooted issues? If a man is married to a woman for a long time, and cheats on his wife, does that mean he doesn't love her?

I cheated on my ex husband because he emotionally abandoned me during my hysterectomy. I wouldn't cheat on my now husband because he has been there emotionally every time I have needed him. It isn't about sex to women like it is men.

True, but are men and woman likely to cheat for different reasons? I'd like to know what some are..

I truly believe that humans are not hardwired to be monogamous.

Women have a higher level of the hormone that makes it easier for them to pair bond.

I dont believe its human nature to be monogamous. (just my opinion)

Men are phyiscally wired to mate with many women to produce as many genetic offspring as they can. Women are wired to stay close to home and form emotional attachments. When these emotional attachments are not met, they look for the next provider.

I feel that when a man cheats, he is cheating because of his own issues. If the man is married, it's not because he's horny. If he were horny, he would be sleeping with his wife. And no, I do not feel that a man who cheats loves his wife. He may have loved her at one time or he may fall in love with her in the future, but when he is making the decision to cheat...He does not love her. If he did love her, he would be too concerned with the pain it would cause his wife, rather than whatever else is going on.

It really is no different for a women, although....Every person cheats for different reasons.

I believe marriage with the right person can work

I was a serial cheater with my ex husband...I couldn't cheat on my husband now. We've come so far, but it has been rocky at times but he has always been there. I've changed a lot since marrying him.

Why? It comes with so many legal rights and benefits, marriage makes sense if you are in a committed relationship.

There are many reasons why men AND women cheat. Maybe they're not satisfied emotionally or physically at home? Maybe they don't love their partner anymore?
