do you care if your family likes your babys name?

Nope I named my daughter a name I loved and nobody liked it. And still doesn't. We call her Lucu though and they still don't like it. But I don't care

I wouldn't care, atleast I don't think I would!? We've never had that issue...

My dad and brother didn't like the name because they wanted LO to be named the same as them. Ridiculous

If my mom absolutely hated the name, I probably wouldn't use it. I wouldn't care what any one else thought though.
But it's your baby and she'll get over it.

I give no smurfs if they like it or not. My child, my choice.
Thankfully, everyone loves the name we picked lol

Nope. My mom hates the name Norah, she says it's "too old" but I used it anyway. She got to pick the middle name, though.

didn't give a damn at all. all that mattered was if SO liked the name.

its so irratating how outspoken she is.shes like name her sophia and i told her a million times my DH doesnt like the name sophia, plus its the most common name right now, she doesnt understand...

ugh. i was talked out of my first sons original name. so we aren't telling anyone this baby's name until he's born. if they don't like it, they can suck my left nut.

I care to an extent, but not enough to change it...my mother couldn't get the pronunciation right for the longest time (Aria), and that drove me nuts, but she's got it down now.

My mom hated the name I gave my youngest LO because she associated it with this crazy guy (like psychopathic crazy) my sisters were friends with. I didn't care, it wasn't the same exact name (my LO is Lucas, he was Luke) and I didn't even think about him when I thought of either name. When she voiced her opinion I told her that was his name whether she liked it or not, she's never said anything about it since.

Other people also disliked the name saying it rhymed with mucus and puke-us and he's get teased, I told them all the same thing I told my mom and they shut up too haha
