Regretting tubal ligation

I got my tubes tied when I was around 23-24 years old. I’m 28 years old now and I really am regretting this. I knew I didn't want anyone more kids with my son having autism but as time goes on I really think I made the wrong choice. I was doing what I thought would be the best option at the time for my health and sanity. Now I’m really kicking myself in the ass. I know I can get a tubal reversal or if I decide to have another child I can do IVF but I can’t afford those things. Any ladies ever go through this? I don’t know if it’s because everyone around me is getting pregnant that is making me regret it or something else.

This is exactly why I didn't tie my tubes. I am 22 and right now after having DS (my 3rd) almost 5 months ago I def don't want any more kids now, BUT my mind could change in 3-5 yrs. Sorry Mama, *hugs*

My sister just gone through this. She has her tubes tied she's has had them tied for 9 years she went in to see of she could some how get her tubes untied and her doctor said he could but there is a chance her tubes can be scared or deformed etc. he said she would have a hard time ttc if she did she would be high risk.

When I had my restaurant and was pregnant , I met so many women who said they regretted tieing their tubes and told me that they hope I don't tie mine just bc they don't want me to go through what they are, regretting their tubal ligation....well except the lady who was 25 and had 6 kids, she is VERY happy that she tied hers.

Yeah   I know I would be high risk now with all my health problems lately. But my goofy ass wants another baby  

This is why it worries me younger women tying their tubes. I'm sorry you are regretting it

I have NO idea how she does it either and I am totally jealous bc she looks freaking good! While I am the one who looks like i have had 6 kids, she doesn't even look like she's had 1. I would seriously be pulling out my hair, I think her oldest is 9.

I'm approaching 30 soon and I'm expecting our third child and third daughter in January.

People often tell me that they think I'll regret getting my tubal after this baby because "I will never know the joys of having a son". I'm very happy and satisfied to have three healthy girls. Plus, there are no guarantees that I would have a boy next (if ever).

I have no doubts that this is what I want.

I couldn't imagine the pain of regretting a tubal, though. My condolences to you on that.

I had mine tied at the young age of 21. It was by far the worst decision I have ever made and I beat myself up over it everyday.
