It wasn't really chunks but tiny pin tip sized white things?

Yeah thats how mine was too..it wasn't huge chunks, they were tiny...kinda reminded me of little pieces of toilet paper.

you don't have to contract for your water to break.

But you never know...it could be vernix pieces too. So, I would at least call ur dr.

My friends water broke while she was cleaning her house it was clear and white in color almost like a straw, also had small pieces of white in it from I guess vernix (sp?) Couldnt hurt just to got get it check out.

i dont think it is your water... it is probably your plug its a mucus plug that comes out before you go into actual labor. mine came out about 2 weeks before i had my son so if your not feeling pain i doubt your in labor and when your water breaks you will know it it isnt something you can control like your bladder

I didn't have any contractions after my water broke. You need to go to L&D...they can do a simple swab to test and see if it's amniotic fluid, and if your water did break, they will more than likely want to induce you. It's hard for us to say over a computer.

You shouldn't be 14 hours away from your doctor at 37 weeks pregnant  

I didnt contract either when my water broke. Its hard say what it is because none of us are doctors and just because some of us might think one thing while others think another. None of us can give you a straight answer. I would go to l & d and get checked out, better be safe than sorry. And I agree with the other it really isnt good idea to be that from away from your doctor this late in pregnancy.

My water broke the 15th and i had no contractions or dilation at all. im only 27 weeks.

He cos ull get an infection if u just leave it Hun

When my water broke the first time I had no contractions. They had to jumpstart them with pitocin

This is exactly what happened to me yesterday! Op it sounds like your waters. Does it smell like bleach ?

i have same thing. its called leukoria (cant spell it) 100% normal. its the sticky glue that holds cervix closed and such. you loose more and more closer to delivery. dont freak its no way your water..you would know for sure if it was that. goodluck. im still leaking it and 38+ weeks :-)

Bleach???

Amniotic fluid doesn't smell like bleach lol (however I've only experienced mine lol).

I would guess mucus plug as well, not waters.
