Really embarassing TMI question

I really didn't want to ask this here but google is slowly convincing me I have cancer. Before I say anything I am going to call my Dr monday and schedule an app just to check it out. Anyways..
Yesterday I noticed a sharp pain in my vaginal area but I brushed it off thinking it was chaffing from my pad because I started my period the day before. Normally I just wear tampons but I'm bleeding heavier than normal and I got some of those thin overnight pads to catch any leaking. I was on the go all day so I didn't really look into it much as it only hurt when I was directly touching the area when wiping. That night I was in the shower washing and it hurt again so I looked at it. On my inner vaginal lip was a small swollen white knot. I looked up what it could be and it gave me a huge list and everything said get it checked out immediately if it's on the inner lip. Tonight I looked at it again in the shower and the knot is gone with just some mild soreness in the area it was in. WTF was that? Has anyone experienced it before? I've never had anything like that before and it's freaking me out a bit. Could it have been from the pad since I don't normally use them even though it as on the inner lip? Again going to call the Dr but it this really rare or somewhat normal?

i have never experienced it, but now a days they say everything is linked to some form of cancer. i wouldn't worry until you get checked out. good luck.

ingrown hair? Could just be some swelling, and that can cause a white head. Hot showers/water on it help it pop.

I have no idea but you shouldn't be embarrassed! Hope it's nothing!

Ingrown hair? Zit?

Could be allergy/sensitivity to the pad. I have to use reuseable pads for that reason. Could also be some sort of yeast or infection.

Yes had this befor it was a reaction to me wearing pads I switched to tampons and the problem stoped also it can be a fever blister.it can be there one day take a shower and gone the next.

How big was the knot? Like pimple sized, or quarter sized? When I hear knot I think pretty big, which would rule out alot of things, thats why I ask.

Pimple, maybe? It could have been some type of blister or allergic reaction to the pads.
Could you have an infection of some sort?
I'd definitely get checked out.

I get bumps like zits or a cyst sometimes from the pads. And for some reason I will get one right before I find out I'm pregnant.
I would still ask your dr about it.

Maybe but I just treated one 2 weeks ago. I was on antibiotics for a bad ear/sinus infection and I always get yeast infection after antibiotics for some reason. It doesn't itch or burn, just the one spot hurt when I touched it.

Ingrown hair/zit maybe. I got one that literally hurt to walk! It was huge and i drained it and haven't had a problem since.
