Help with checking c-section rates/doctors/hospitals.

Does anyone know of a resourceful website or place to go (phone number, etc) to look at c-section rates for doctors and hospitals?

I was told to call the hosptial itself, But Idk I feel like they would lie, to make sure I use them as my choice ya know?

Id just do a whole bunch of googling.

That's my thinking. Anything I watch or read says to not check with the hospital because they can give out any number they want. :/

I think if you go on the hospital's website you can find that kind of information.

I know for a fact my doctor is great and low c-section rate. The other two in my area are KNIFE HAPPY... There is a doctor here I can't stand, and I have NEVER met one of his patients who has had a vaginal delivery. It's insane. I'm just curious on some actual numbers.

For hospitals, I usually asked my OB. But she's honest and straight to the point.The hospital i'm delivering at actually has a pretty high C-section rate, I think she said about 67% , but they also have the best NICU/Pediatric unit than the other two hospitals around here.

When I was pregnant with J the website i-am-pregnant had a calculator for that but I'm not sure if it's still there or if the website is still running but give me a sec to see if I can find it.

I just googled "[hospital name] labor and delivery" and i found all the info i needed.

I found that it was 37.3 % in 2009, and down to 30% in 2011 and back up to 33% in 2012 so far.

My hosptial isn't showing, and Michigan isn't showing on the other LOL
