FINALLY had my little boy, Zane, Nov. 9th! On Nov, 7th I went to the hospital thinking my water broke. I was checked and told it was just a lot of discharge. Awesome. I was an unhappy 40 weeks and 2 days pregnant woman. At 4AM that night I was having a lot of back pain and pains in my stomach. Had no idea what it was. I went to my mother's house because the pain was getting more intense, but not time-able and my DH was at work and I didn't want to be alone. Through out the day my mom was quietly timing me and finally told me we needed to go to L&D. I told her no. I thought it wasn't time and I should have been in more pain than I was. I lost that little battle. When the Dr. went to check me I told her I didn't need to be checked to see if my water was broken because it wasn't the day before. She did it anyway and BEHOLD I had sprung a leak! They told me I needed to be induced because they don't know how long I had been leaking for. When I was settled into a room they gave me my epidural. I was told that some women it takes up to 2 hours to put in correctly. I only had to do it once and for about 10 minutes. I thought I was lucky. Come to find out a few hours later after the pitocin, it only worked on my right side. I hate pitocin. It is an evil little drippy drug. I hate epidurals. I labored for 32 hours with only one side of my body under pain control. I was told to lay on my left side and the epidural would drip to that side. It never did. I puked, kicked my DH out about 8 times, and swore so much even my nurse told me to stop. At 9cm I REALLY had to push, BUT my cervix was still in the way. I kept pushing anyways. I couldn't stop it! I ended up arresting my labor and actually swelled my cervix and went back to 8cm. They tried to see how bad my contractions were with this internal thing because the monitor wasn't showing how bad they were. My mom told me it was because it was in my back? All I know is after 2 attempts my vagina was cramping so bad! I finally had to go for a c-section. I was put out because the epidural wouldn't work on my left side. When I woke up the first thing I asked was if Zane was okay. Second was repeatedly saying I wanted something for the pain XD. My DH and mom came in and they brought the baby in and gave him to DH. He was perfect. 32 hours of pain and a little resentment just flew away. Thanks for reading!
