I almost did but it was the day he was born and I just didn't want to deal with it that day. I honestly thought she'd stop by now and start calling him by his first name.

Tell her if she can't call him by his actual name then she doesn't get any actual time with him.

just tell her you named him that for a reason not for someone to call him by something else if that wasn't your intentions. DH & I named our LO Kassidy Gladys m now everyone calls her Kassi or Gladys & it annoys the piss out of me

Yes it would I don't like when people use their middle name instead of the first name. My inlaws did that with their DD not sure why they didn't name her the middle name instead. Anyways, I would correct her and talk to her about it.

I thought that was harsh at first but I think that is what I'm going to end up having to do. We live in a different state but are going home for a visit soon. If she is still doing it in person I'm going to have to say that because I just find it ridiculous.

It to would annoy me too. Maybe comment under the pic... ________ mommy loves you! Or something like that. You get to name him she can't just change it to make herself happy. As he gets older he will need to hear the correct name to know to respond to it. Hearing two different names can cause confusion. It needs to be fixed now before the confusion starts..

I think Jeremy needs to be the one to talk to her. You can play nice and day that you don't want him being confused by being called something else (or not wanting big sis confused) or you can just come out and say "we chose this name because we love it, please be respectful and use it.

Well she's really just doing it because she didn't get the name that she wanted us to use. No one calls him by his middle name but her.

I'm glad it's not just me. We told her a couple times before that we would prefer that she call him by his first name and she just refuses.
