question may seem dumb

Ive was baby sitting my nephew and i notice when he it up set or when you try to move him he locks up and makes his side go like a S shape he his only a month my son never did this so i was wondering what could it be why does he lock him self straight or in a S shape ? my sound dumb but ive never seen a baby do this

Like he arches his back? Lo uses to do that. It always seemed normal.

Yea they just tense up. DS used to stick him butt out and curl his legs in, kinda like the fetal position, but in an S shape. They stop doing it.

Me too, he used to do it when I was pregnant, I'd get this lump stick out that was his butt and I rub my belly there. When he used to stick his but out at birth I'd rub it and pat it too and it seemed to settle him. It was so cute and made me wanna squidge him tight
