When I was pregnant with my last baby I had hypermesis (HG) nausea meds did nothing for me and I had to have a PICC line inserted when I was 22 weeks because I had lost 32lbs, and had to be admitted to the hospital 3 times due to being dehydrated. My dr actually told me to try smoking pot because it would help with my nausea. I was hesitent at first but my Dr actually brought her supervisor in and they both talked to me about saying the benefits were greater than any risk. So ya know what I started smoking half a joint a day and omg I felt so much better. I was able to eat again and actually hold it down. After 10 weeks they removed the PICC line and I finally started gaining weight back. Smoking pot while pregnant isn't a horrible thing, it can actually help the mother provide nutrition to the baby.

it helps with wonders for pain, mental illnesses, eating disorders, etc.

you're not smoking it, so why the smurf do you care what other people do? worry about yourself and your own kids.

Obviously smoking ANYTHING while pregnant isn't a good idea, but I don't see anything wrong with smoking a little pot outside of pregnancy if thats what ya wanna do. The only reason that I don't is because it is illegal in my state.

OP, I think you'd do best to just worry about yourself.

I smoke pot.
I had problems falling asleep and was on medication for it with side effects, I had anxiety and was taking Klonopins daily, and my doctor was wanting to also put me on Vicodin for my SI joints.
I didn't want to be on pills like that, not serious narcotics.
I smoke and I can fall asleep, I smoke and I'm relaxed and more able to deal with public situations, and my pain level drops insanely from my SI joints.
I'm also a college student with a 4.0 GPA, my child has what he needs and more.

My SO used to smoke a ton of it a day. Never around the kids and they always come first.
The stereotype of pot smokers is smurfing ridiculous. He has a better paying job than you probably could ever dream AND he knows how to write in the English language.
I would rather someone who is high watch my kids than someone who is drunk.

What I'm getting out of this is you think smoking pot is wrong. Well sorry sweetheart but people do it for so many reasons that are medical. It helps with alot of medical conditions. There are the occasional person who does it for recreational use but most people I know who do it do it for medical reasons and have medical cards. Except for the people in my state since we don't have medical cards. People who smoke pot can function in the professional life. They raise children and care about their children. You, my dear, are ridiculous.

You know what I think is wrong? Smoking cigarettes. But guess what, people do it every day, I couldn't care less. Just because people disagree with you, you shouldn't get so angry about it. It is ok to have a difference of opinion about something that grows in the dirt.
