DD has had a tricycle since she was one. Her legs are too long for it now, so we bought her first real bike with training wheels and we are giving it to her tomorrow for her 3rd birthday party!

Are you referring to 2 wheeler with training wheels or in general?

My oldest was 2 when his grandparents bought him a bike...he has never shown interest in it and he is almost 7 now, we've bought him others and he won't touch them.

We got our youngest one of those push trikes with the removable handle at a yardsale for $3 in April or May. Both of my boys won't leave it alone. My youngest is 19 months now.

I found one for $5 at a garage sale and bought it for Boog when she was 2 years old lol

ETA: I bought a tricycle at the same time but she couldn't work it so she rode the regular bike

I would suggest something like a push trike for a start. You can steer it while she gets used to what she is doing. There are some that have seatbelts and visors to keep the sun off of LO's The handle comes off for when she is more independent.

My oldest got a tricycle around 15 months and my younger kids have been playing on it since they could walk. We got the two older kids two wheeler bikes this past summer (with training wheels) at 4 1/2 and 3.
