evening primrose & raspberry tea

Have any of you used this to help soften the cervix in preparation for delivery? It isn't supposed to start labor or anything, just get things ready to go when the time is right. If you did, did it work for you?

I am 37 weeks, and 1cm dilated, 50% effaced. I am going to be induced on the 28th (I have PIH) and the midwife said if I was dilated to 3 on Wednesday I wouldn't need the cervidil, so I was thinking this might be a good way to get there. From what I have read evening primrose oil is "more natural" than cervidil, and works well.

Yep. Used it orally and vaginally by my midwifes suggestion and it did nothing. Started at 34 weeks orally and then 36 weeks vaginally. My cervix was still really hard when they induced me at 41 weeks.

  That doesn't sound very reassuring. Oh well, I guess it's still worth trying it out.

I know it worked for my friend but it didn't work for me at all  

I used the raspberry leaf tea from 35 Weeks and my labour was sooo easy compared to my first! My contractions we're really effective and I only needed gas and air while transitioning. Never tried EPO though!x
