My idiot husband!

Got arrested for a DUI tonight. Just this past week I gave him an ultimatum between his family or alcohol. Guess this is what I get for marrying am alcoholic!!!

I've never felt more disgusted in my life! God I want to scream and throw things. I want to cry. I want him to be better than this! I don't want my daughter to have a father that's an alcoholic.

I have a question maybe you can help me with. He called me and told me to pick him up at the jail at 8 am. He didnt say to bring money or anything. If I get him when he releases do I still have to bring bond money? I'm so confused.

Plus if you were in this situation would you go stay with your parents for the weekend?

definately go and stay with your parents for the weekend, and they usually hold people in the drunk tank for about 8 hours until they sober up! If my SO pulled that crap i would leave his ass there and make his ass walk home.. but you dont need bail money they will just release him

Okay. I called the jail. They said he will be in there until Monday if I can't cone up with $930. Omg. There goes Christmas, there goes moving onto our house, everything for a long time.

I feel so sick to my stomach.

I am sorry hun. We went through the same thing last year around this time. It sucked but I can actually say that in the long run it has made our lives better because my husband doesn't drink anymore (well every once in a while he has a few beers). I got pregnant around the same time so I also stopped drinking. I hope this bad situation turns out to be for the best like ours did. My DH was just about to get his license back too after 7 years, now it will be another 1-2 years.

Last year my ex-coworker hit and killed a guy while driving drunk

So you gave him an ultimatum: Drinking or his family

What are you going to do now? Leave? Or let him keep getting away with this?

If his job finds out he is in jail he will get fired. So IDK, if it'll be better to find the money to bail him. He is our only income!!
