scared of public toilets?

My son is scared of pottying in public restrooms. He has always been scared of them(even since he was a baby) because the toilets are loud and freak him out D:
However, while it was fine at first...we are trying to work on potty training now and I don't know how to get him to at least attempt a public toilet. :/
The second we walk into a public bathroom and he sees the potty he screams and cries. Poor guy.

He uses the potty at home all the time and does really well! He is 2 1/2 years old.


Any ideas on how to get him to use public toilets?

I didn't look at the name but when I saw your D: face I totally knew it was you! Haha.

I don't know what to do about that problem though   hopefully carty isn't like that.
Is it all public toilets? Like if you took him into on of those one person restrooms do you think he'd do the same thing? Maybe you can try going first and show him its not so bad the. Ask if he wants to try too.

Maybe I should start at one of those super quiet ones. The non- automatic flushing kind. He literally potties all day at home. It is just hard when we go out.
Even when he was 6mo old he would cry because the toilet scared him XD. It was really hard to pee at the park haha
