Eating chalk?

So my 2 1/2 year old just snuck into his play house and when I checked on him he had eaten a small piece of chalk. I don't have the package, but if I remember correctly they're Crayola. Does it warrant a call to poison control or anything?

nope he's good, it's non toxic

I wouldn't think so because a lot of that stuff if non-toxic but if you are really worried I'd call just to be safe.

Thanks, ladies. I wasn't freaking out over this one because I was pretty sure my cousin ate chalk all the time as a kid and I thought the package said non-toxic, but I figured I'd ask for some opinions.
Scared the smurf out of me, though. The piece was bright red and at first I thought it was blood.

Omg I'm cringing at the thought of the texture on my teeth. Eeek! How could he... Why... Aaaah!! Haha. Usually anything marketed for kids is non toxic

Yeah, he wasn't so keen on it. He was trying to wipe it off of his tongue and then went and drank half a glass of water. At least I don't think he'll be doing it again.
