Yeah, that's selfish. And the horror movies... that's just plain stupid.

no definitely not, i'm a big twilight fan but part of being a parent means you miss out on things sometimes, so if you can't get a sitter for something that's inappropriate for a child that young, then you don't go

Novali is 5 and really into vampires right now... I won't allow her to watch any twilight movies because I'd probably want to kill myself... but, Jurassic Park, Count of Monte Cristo and Phantom of the Opera are her three favorites at the moment.

I don't think watching horror movies is a good idea for kids though.

He may be fine with the scary movies... my niece grew up watching Stephen King movies with my sister (in the house, not theater). She never had any issues with it.
I, however, remember seeing the commercials for Chucky and having nightmares! hahaha

I don't feel bad for her kid, I feel bad for the other people in the theater who paid a lot of money and might have to suffer hearing a whiny, tired toddler!

Would i take my kids to the movies to watch something like that? No. However if I'm watching the movie at home and one of my kids climb up on the couch to watch it with me, I'm not gonna turn the movie off or make them leave the room. We are huge horror fanatics in my house, so my kids know none of it is real and that it is just a movie.
