my poor vagina ! lol

posted 16th Nov
Had my baby Nov 13th, Everytime I pee I want to turn into the hulk and crush buildings with the amount of pain that comes with it   I tore & got 4 stiches, how long until this part of the healing process is over? absolutely suckss. Although it's bearable when I'm not peeing, lol. Is it normal that my doc let me tear instead of cut me ? just curious..

Your doc did you a favor. Tears heal better than cuts. I was cut twice and they didn't even warn me. The pain was awful afterwards, but it never hurt to pee or poop. I guess I got lucky. Are you using the squirt bottle and/or Dermoplast?

It's becoming more common for them to let you tear instead of cutting. I was cut, I had more stitches than you and cutting takes longer to heal. It won't last forever, I promise.

I only got 1 stitch, but it hurt for awhile! I'm sure more would hurt longer. More than a month I'm sure. And tearing is better than being cut open!

They will not do episotomy any more they say tearing heals faster then a straight cut. However since becoming prego everytime me and SO have sex it Burns like h*** to pee.. I dread having sex some times!! and I've been tested for everything all negative. Sucks!!!

They still do episiotomies all the time.

oh, they do? how come they cut people then?. i think it's because i tore up my left lip, so when i pee it hits that part of my lip? only thing i can think of. it doest hurt to have a bowel movement just stings like a mother effer when i pee. i use the water bottle, it soothes it a lil bit. whats dermoplast?

I was cut hole to hole. I'm pretty sure I had over 100 stitches.

I used to bend completely over and hug my knees while I peed, it prevented it from touching the stitches.
Also, use the water bottle they gave you, it's a life saver.

It depends on the doctor. Sometimes they are concerned that the mother will tear too much. A cut can be controlled, a tear cannot. Their are advantages and disadvantages to both. Dermoplast is a numbing spray. Also, did the hospital send any ice pack pads with you? Those are amazing!

i had to get like 6 or 7 stiches i think my doc went overboard with them she said "you want it to look pretty right?" i was like i could care less just stop that pain was so bad haha but the pain of peeing hurt the first week ir so it will get better just make sure you keep it as clean as you can
