Names, well name for baby #2

posted 16th Nov
Well, since this is most likely going to be the last one for us. We have decided that no matter what we will be using the name that we both love no matter what sex.

It's unisex so it works for both genders.

If we have a boy the name will be:
Blake Alexander

If we have another girl the name will be:
Blake Alexandra

I love the name Blake and we have been trying so hard for another baby so I'm excited to finally get to use the name no matter what the outcome.

I just want a happy healthy baby.

Hopefully you have a boy because Blake on a girl is hideous. Boy names should stay on boys.

boys names only belong on boys.

I don't care what the name is or how horribly someone wants to spell it. If was intended for a boy, it should never be on a girl.

Let me start this off by saying I LOVE boy names on girls. I really do. I have a boy name, my daughter does, and my next daughter will too.

But Blake is just bad on a girl. So, so, so bad.

I don't consider it a 'boy' name.

It's unisex.

so it's only fair that if you ever have a boy you give him a girls name.

something super feminin like Scarlett or Gwendolyn.

how do you think it got there?

it was a boys name first. then some stupid hormonal freaky mothers in the 70's decided they'ed "empower" their daughters by giving them a mans name. Now someone seems to think its "unisex"

Meh. I just wanted to feel out how people feel about it, no matter what the name will be used. I just like hearing people's opinions on the matter.

Nobody liked my daughters name when I first picked it out. People will just have to get use to it.

Umm, to everyone saying it doesn't work for a girl, what about Blake lively? She is very much a feminin woman and i think her name fits her.
Op, I dont particularly like the name but I think it definitely works for either sex. If you Like it, use it.
