Have the baby and figure out how to "close the gap" later if you want to close it later.
Life is unpredictable and can change in a matter of seconds. Sometimes you just have to "go with it" and stop trying to plan everything and force the outcome you (the general you) want.
It's only money AND who knows what better opportunities are in your future.
