I would totally do it! especially at night, If I wasnt due in Jan. I would labor in my own backyard, its so peaceful.. I live in a country house with nothing but a huge open field next to us.

My 3 and a half year old was with me almost my entire labor, she only had go home because it got really late at night. She did amazing, she saw me from the beginning to transition and I had a super intense labor, and she was fine and happy. Not a bit bothered, she was actually sad she didn't watch mommy push the baby out and rub my back >.<

My labor was so intense I had to vocalize my entire labor, i was in transition for like hours it was horrible

When does she plan on coming?? I am nervous because my first was born 3 weeks, 2 days early, but my midwife has a plan to keep this one in as long as possible! So hopefully we can plan according to my due date

Our birth center was gorgeous.. I would just prefer my own home all in all. I also LOVE my midwife versus at the birth enter where there are a handful of certified midwives and you don't know who you will be delivering with.

Although if we had numerous children I think I would prefer the birthing center less the caos from home

either when im 37 or 38 weeks, we havent set it in stone yet.
I delivered on my due date, and have no clue what to expect, but I think If shes not here by the time I start getting early labor symptoms, she will go ahead and come.
her hours were cut at work, so she is just going to drive now, but before then, she planned on just hopping the 1st plane down when I went into labor.

Wow that is very homey, yet professional looking. Most of the places I found near me were VERY outdated and looked just like a bedroom, I didn't care for that, but this is the one we were considering

Although my midwife is opening a birthing center in I believe in April

Awesome! I was very quiet with Grey but the labor was sped up with Pitocin (I was already five cm going in) and only lasted six hours with twenty minutes of pushing. Since we are going 100% natural I can't guarentee I will be as humble this time. The only thing I worry about is being short tempered Around him. I'm not a pleasant person to be bothered when I am focused or more so in pain. BUT I am going to plan on him being here, I would love for him to be fully involved! I just pray my mother in law can get here in time to help with him, I really want Zacs full attention to be on supporting me

Yes. My 3 year old held my hand and was basically my birth partner. Even watched the birth. I prepares her for it first. Watched YouTube videos and talked about the blood and sounds I might make, also explained the process of childbirth (baby will come from mamas vulva and it will hurt but its okay.)

She dis great and was so excited. Link to my birth story on profile. She still talks about it all the time. I'm so happy she was included. :-). I feel like I needed her there.
