Smurf my life...
posted 16th Nov
I've already written my dad and his family out of my life because they're all verbally and emotionally abusive and I couldn't take it anymore; now my half-sister (my mom's daughter) is trying to start smurf between my family and I. And to top it off, Emma is getting baptized tomorrow. Now no one in my family is coming and it's because she fabricated part of a story and is trying to make DF look bad. She's just as twisted as her dad (mom finally divorced his abusive ass after he held a gun to her head and threatened to kill her in front of the kids). Here's what REALLY happened.
SO is catholic and I'm in the process of converting. I was baptist and that's what my family is, very devout, I might add. So me converting already caused some tension. My sister (who's 13) went with the family to the church they live next door to since the closest baptist church to them is quite far away. It was an Anglican church (which is a branch off of the Catholic church). She told my uncle in front of me and SO that she hated the way that they did things and would stick with the "christian" church she's used to. It hurt SO's feeling that she thinks that baptists are the only church that contains christians, so he asked her why she thought that. She got defensive and walked off.
THIS is what she's trying to say happened:
She said that she'd stick with the "baptist" church she was used to (totally changing the context of what was said), and that Zach got in her face and started screaming at her that she's not a real Christian.
I'm sick and tired of someone trying to start smurf when important things in my life (my brother's 10th birthday party, Emma's birth, now her baptism..) are so close to happening. I'm smurfing done accepting half truths and bullsmurf. I've HAD it.

honey, i was raised catholic in the bible belt. a lot of people feel that way, and the best you can do is try to explain to your mother how important it is to you that she be there, and hope for the best. my fathers family was bothered by us being raised catholic because of the same baptists are the only christians thing. but my grandmother still came to our christenings. ill keep my fingers crossed for you girl.

Thanks, ladies. I just get tired of my family always doing smurf like this. It's like I can't even enjoy what I was so excited about because there's smurf always brewing in the background. ugh. I'm so ready for SO to graduate so I can move away from this bullsmurf.
