re: 35-36 weeker

My son was born 33 weeks 3lbs 9oz 10 days in nicu and 10 in stepdown. He had jaundice and had to gain. He has reflux but is growing fast over 16lbs now at 7 months

My daughter was a 35 weeker. 5lbs 8oz and no NICU time.

My daughter was 35w 6d and she was born 7lb 12.5oz and 21 inches long. Came home in 2 days, perfectly healthy and has been growing like crazy since then. But I am diabetic so that's one reason she was bigger at birth.

had my son at 35 weeks. His umbilical cord was around his neck, and heart rate kept dropping. Three things they warned us about. Not fully functioning lungs, jaundice and not being able to regulate temperature. He spent 26 days in the NICU. He was on a C-Pap machine for 2 days to help jump start his lungs. Doctors said he didn't have enough surfactant, the stuff that keeps the lungs lubricated to function properly. He was on oxygen for another week after that. He was 4lbs 13 oz. after he was off the machines for two weeks and was eating without a tube he was ready to go home. He is a happy healthy three year old with no known side effects to being born early. You would never know looking at him that he was early. It was a scary few weeks but we all made it thru.

I'm 35 weeks 6 days, and dilated to 5 cm and 100%. Bed rest isn't working, and now I'm panicking that I'm going to have a baby in the same NICU my daughter I lost was in

Your Angel was lost because of a bad heart, not the NICU she was in. I know it will trigger bad memories for you being there again, but your baby girl will be under good hands and at 35 weeks she could just as easily come home with you and see no NICU.

I'm 36 weeks now. I've almost made it two weeks since going into preterm labor. Even if she needs help learning to breathe on her own, at least I will know she is healthy and will come home with me.

That's true. My son never developed over 35 weeks and he was fine, didn't see the NICU at all.

My son was born at 34w5d and had no NICU time, he was 5 lb 4oz and nineteeen inches. A little jaundiced but otherwise perfect

My son was born at 35 weeks 6 days. He came out screaming and breathing fine on his own. No nicu time and he had slight jaundice but not enough to keep him in the hospital.

I made it to term, 37+1 today.
