When should I...

So, the story is pretty basic. SO and I are TTC. We have one other child (not biologically his; mine from previous marriage. His by heart. :-) ). Anyway I was just wondering, because with my last pregnancy, I was five weeks pregnant before the tests would come up positive, so when should I start testing this time? I'm sure all tests are different, so given this information, does anyone know of any that would possibly detect pregnancy earlier on? I'm kind of anxious to find out so I'm hoping I don't have to wait too long, but does anyone know, given how long it took to find out last time, if I should expect to be waiting as long this time to find out?

all pregnancies are different..with my first I got a very dark positive the night after I missed my period and with this pregnancy I kept getting light positives and then negatives up until a week after I missed my period.

I took a test at the doctors office at 3 weeks and it came up as soon as my pee was on it. I'm now 24 weeks 6 days in my pregnancy.

So basically just test whenever?

basically..just keep in mind that if you get a negative wait a week to test if you still haven't gotten your period.

Yeah that's kinda what I did last time...since they kept coming up negative but I kept acting pregnant lol.
