Thanksgiving Casserole!!

so if you're like me and LOVE leftovers but hate the way they taste reheated in the microwave or even in the oven I have something that has sorta become a tradition in my house. I make what I like to call the Thanksgiving Casserole. all it is is you take left over stuffing. make a laying (I like mine thick) of stuffing on the bottom (and if you like it to be crispy you could throw it in the oven for a few minutes before putting the rest of the ingredients...) then after you've made your layer of stuffing chop up some turkey(once again I like a lot..white and dark meat) and make another layer on top of stuffing. Take your left over gravy(still cold..when it's kinda jelly like) and just glob it(doesn't that sound appetizing?lol) on the chicken. When that is all done take your cold left over mashed potatoes and in your hand make an even patty like slab of the potato and put it on the top, it doesn't have to cover all of it(doing it this way makes it easier, so I think) but make sure most of it's covered. Bake at 350 for about 30-40 minutes and voila! easy dinner EVERYONE who loves thanksgiving will love.

seriously, I kinda look forward to left overs just to have this...and I some times make a some gravy on the side to drizzle over on my own individual slice. It's like a shepherds pie but better.

My mom makes Thanksgiving patties. (that's what I call them.) You take mashed potatoes, turkey, stuffing and corn (optional) and mix it up in a bowl with an egg and form it into patties, fry them on the stove like a burger and serve with gravy. Nom nom
