Can you chew nicorette gum while pregnant? I'm trying to quit smoking, I cut down alot but i'd feel alot less like a piece of smurf if i quit completely.

I would tbh, better than a cigarette

i went to pick up a pack of nicorette today but on the back it said to ask a dr if pregnant.... i figured its gotta be better than smoking

It isn't advised (b/c nicotine isn't recommended for fetuses  ) So my doctor couldn't "officially" tell me it was safe. But he did hint that it's a lot safer than smoking and that if I was smoking, the baby is still getting nicotine, so it's not like I'd be newly introducing it. I dunno, it was a long drawn out conversation that didn't give me a yes or no answer, so I just used it anyway. The pro's outweigh the cons, I just wouldn't chew a lot of it. Good luck!!

Oh, and I got a for-sure no on using the patch while pregnant....but every doctor's different, so you never know.
