You don't have to start her on anything for months and months.
If you DO, you only do a few bites once a day, if that. They are not eating whole jars right away lol
They will still be drinking the same amount of formula.

You do know just cause a dr says it doesn't mean u have to do it. We delayed solids with dd and she did so much better that way. She was 8 mos.

I would wait! I'm so sad that I started my oldest at 5 mos... my youngest was nearly 7 mos. While they might be ready to handle it, they definitely do not need it.

She should still get the same amount of formula. Food is just for fun it's not needed yet (unless for medical reasons). We started with oatmeal for medical issues but if its not needed I would skip it. I did fruit with dd first because that's what I got at my baby shower (funny enough she prefers veggies now lol) and we just started with a few spoonfuls and worked our way up. You'll learn her signs for when she's done. Dd won't open her mouth and come for the spoon and recently started taking off her bib when she's done lol

Well, it's supposed to be at least 6 months. But when LO started I just gave him a tiny bit of baby oatmeal mixed with breast milk. He ate that for about 2 weeks, then I introduced another puree. I think it was peaches. Also, her formula should always come first. That's still her main source of nutrition until 1 year. Solids are just a side thing. So give her however much she wants for a bottle, and then later give her a little oatmeal or something.

My dd had horrible reflux until we started solids and now she's completly off her meds and never spits up.

Mix a lot of formula in with a little rice cereal so it's really soupy. You can thicken it over the next month or so gradually.

I did a formula scoop of oatmeal cereal (so dd didnt get constipated) and used prepared formula to get it the consistency I felt was best (super watery at first)

Mix a teaspoon or two with formula or water. Just mix some in until it's not too thick. lol I freaked about it too the first time. Then I found out it's not a big deal at all

It isn't my business to try to talk you out of it so I won't. However there are other ways to treat reflux and both of my boys had severe- so I understand how upsetting it can be.

Here are some links about feeding though since you're asking.

trust me i really DONT want to do it. we have her sleep upright in her swing, shes on zantac, we keep her upright for 20 mins after each feeding... were just at a loss for what to do. all she wants to do is eat. i dont mind the feedings but it would be nice if she went over a hour and a half for a feedings lol
