I wouldn't tell him.
What would be the point if I'm going to do it regardless of what he says or thinks about it?

Sure. I don't mind answering personal questions.

Okay. I'm not even sure "personal" was the right word...

But I've wondered.

You're libertarian. Is being pro-life something that comes from your religion, just from your gut? It's always seemed so strange, to me, that someone could be libertarian, and have such strong views on controlling what someone else does/doesn't do, yaknow? I was just wondering if you could tell me, I guess, how you kind of deal with the conflict of interest (or whatever you call it)?

How do you know he didn't use protection and know the girl beforehand? A pregnancy really does change everything, even the people involved in creating that fetus. They could have been together for a long while, used protection, etc. Doesn't change the fact that he may have wanted those babies.

Of course he has every right to be heart broken over what could have been his child and end the relationship if he wants to. Just like she has every right to abort and not tell him.

Ahhh I see what you are getting at! I am readign through the entire thread.. May have read some stuff wrong though!

he should really talk about htat stuff before sleeping with someone

he did that himself though... he can't blame the women for him not having children. his morals are strong for abortion.. but not for sleeping with women who aren't better screened?
let me guess... christian?

Hmm....toughie. I don't know what I would do. On one hand, I'd be devastated having to get an abortion and it is a pain that I would want to grieve in private. On the other hand, however, it is also half his fetus and therefore I feel that he should be informed that 1) you're pregnant and 2) you're having an abortion. He can't stop you anyway...

If it was just a one night stand or something, I wouldn't.

If it was someone who was an actual friend, then I would.

Good question.

I am prolife because of my religion. I believe that life starts at conception.

Libertarians believe that people have God given rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as long as it does not interfere with other's rights to the same.

That's how I can be prolife and Libertarian. Most believe that life starts when you take your first breath. I believe it starts at conception and that is when you obtain your rights. So, yes, a woman may "pursue happiness" by aborting her fetus/child/baby/parasite/alien life form, but to me and many other religious peoples, that "right" infringes on the rights of another human being, therefore there is no right to abortion.

You are one of the only prolife people I actually like and respect. I like your stance and how unwavering it is, but also that you aren't "pushy" about it

I see.

I feel like we already had a conversation about separation (or lack of) between church and state. haha

I'm prolife on the Federal side of things, but if a state wants to mandate abortions for everyone, that's fine with me. If a state wants to outlaw them, more power to 'em. I'm a state's rights kind of gal.
