Right and completely disregard the message of my post because you know you're dead wrong. Again, if one of your children or someone you loved came to you reaching out for help because someone had abused them would you tell them to change their mentality, get over and stop being a victim because they're alive so they're "blessed".

!! Were all talking about how we deal with the trauma and how we are trying to recover and break cycles of abuse. No one has said "poor me I'm a victim, feel sorry for me". We're sharing our stories and offering support.

compared to what some women went through on here its like nothing happened to me. im happy that worse things didnt happen with me though it came close. that being said it took years to stop flinching when someone moved too fast. it took years to start to finally take up for myself bc im a person and i deserve to be treated well. just bc things arnt worse doesnt mean smurf doesnt affect you. you should get your self righteous ass out of here.

I was emotionally and sexually abused. I find myself worried about being too protective. I was too ignored, which allowed the people who hurt me to get away scot-free. I want to give my daughter a safe, but also NORMAL childhood.   I would love to be able to strike a good balance.
