Acne

What are you secrets to get rid of it? What face wash works best?

My skin is semi-oily. My problem areas are my cheeks (near my ears and chin), between my eyebrows, and my chin.

How long have you been dealing with it?

I've had mine since about middle school. It's a lot better than it was then because I know how to better care for myself. It just won't go away completely. I want nice, smooth skin for once in my life.

Have had the same problem since age 8-9 and hve yet found something to completely work, not even proactive or antibiotics or special cream from the doctors.

I know the feeling, girl.
My skin has been bad since elementary school and I feel like I've tried everything, I want to have clear skin so badly it hurts. I even get it on my chest, back, and shoulders. I can't wear cute shirts because of it.

I have a couple pimples that are deep and hurt, but it's mostly scars from picking and little problem zits. I also have it on my shoulders, chest, and back - but not nearly as bad as my face.

I envy women with clear skin. I think I would feel so much better about myself if I didn't have to cake the make-up on every time I left the house to cover it.

I feel ya, I HATE my skin and have terrible self esteem and always have. Hate having to cover up pimples to go anywhere. My face isn't terrible like it used to be, but I get breakouts near my period. Right now I have some little ones and a big one on my cheek. It's the big noticeable ones i can't stand.

Well, there isn't anything that works for me that gets rid of acne for long. I'm always having to switch up what I use to keep my face semi-clear. If I use something for too long my face just "adapts" to it and eventually the acne comes back. I switch up products every three months. Pro-active, neutrogena acne stress control, clearasil daily clear and then Walmarts brand of proactive but I use the severe kind in the dark orange bottles.

I found something with tea tree and witch hazel worked to keep it kinda to a point where make up can cover. When I break out really bad though the only thing that helps is something like clearasil, something with salicylic acid in it.

I've heard you could try lemons/lemon juice mixed with some water on a cotton ball.

I had really bad acne growing up as do my boys now. lol. Poor things. I tried everything including proscription stuff from dermatologists. Nothing worked. One day my day came home with st ives apricot scrub, I loved the smelled so I used it daily and I cleared right up within a couple weeks. Now that I'm an old bag I have super dry skin and only wash my face with ivory and never get zits. I even shave with it because I get bad bumps with cream.
