Dilating/thinning tips.....

posted 16th Nov
I've heard of eating pineapples, bouncing on the stability ball (which I've done), having sex (which hurts like hell at this point), dancing (which I've done), drinking white raspberry leaf tea (which I did with my son's pregnancy), walking (which I've done & am continuing to do), stimulating your nipples (little weird, don't think I can do it)........ lol

What helped you? Or did nothing help? With my son I stayed at a 2 & still delivered at 41 weeks after being induced so it was completely irrelevant to even dilate & think I was making "progress" lol but it'll make me feel better since I'm still at a 0!

Nipple simulation put me into labor. Nothing weird about it. Have you DH do it for you!

I don't mean weird in general... but I dislike my boobs a looot. Like, it's probably my biggest insecurity. So I guess that's why it'd be weird for me to do it myself lol my husband barely gets to touch them!

BUT I've heard that it helps.

Evening primrose preps you. It softened EVERYTHING up for me. Squats work to bring baby down to position. I also heard getting on your hands and knees and literally wiggling your butt, the shifting in your hips moves baby's head into position too like squats.

LOL I actually did that last suggestion a few weeks ago to get her from transverse/breech/oblique (she hit all of those positions in 5 weeks time!) to head down. Which she thank God is finally there lol

you aren't even due yet! Chill the smurf out.

I was 10 days past due and walked into the hospital at 5 cm and not contracting. No amount of pineapple, hot stuff, sex, nipple stimulation, walking, jumping up and down did anything.

you are NOT going to go into labor until your baby says you are. we have 3-5 weeks unless they get the crazy idea that they are done cooking. Sit down, relax and get used to it.

For me my baby's head has been down and really low for months. So it relieves pain for me. And pressure. Those two spots are my favorite right now.

Nothing I did helped me go into labor naturally. I didn't really try, you know? I think I had sex a day or so before it happened, can't quite rememeber. I did do a good amount of walking, but that's pretty much it. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm so happy to see that you're right here with your second baby! Just a few more weeks, if that! I'm glad your pregnancy went so well, and I can't wait to see her. I bet she's gonna be CUUUUTE!

Thanks!
I know, we went through a crazy journey to get this far but I'm so happy we're here & the end is near! I cannot wait to hold her. Landon is getting so excited to be a big brother.

Haha this sort of comment happens on anyone who says anything about natural induction before 40 weeks. the due date can be off 2 or more weeks EITHER way so if you want to try to make it happen a little early (not before 37) it isn't that awful. Besides that baby isn't going to get here any faster than when it wants to or when your doctor induces you.

I've seen a lot of her responses to posts. She just has an extremely rude way of talking to people, don't let it bother you. I wish I had some helpful advice but I've never gone into labor before (scheduled c-sections) so I'm of no help. But I wish you the best of luck! I can't wait to see our girls!!!
