not sure what the "without evidence of previa" means...but basically a low lying placenta means you need to be very careful when having sex. i had this with my daughter (who is now  . when i was 5months pregnant, i started bleeding after sex and found out that the placenta had partially been torn from the uterine wall because of placenta previa. i had to go on bedrest for a week and wasn't allowed to have sex until the next u/s, when we found that it had moved. the placenta is apparently moving throughout your entire pregnancy, so this should be temporary. that's probably why she ordered another u/s.
