rash/bumps on face? help?

for the last few days I've noticed my sons cheeks have been a little redder than normal. but today after lunch when I wiped his lunch off and he laid down for a nap it's a bit worse and raised now. I have no idea what it is, sorry for the crappy pictures.

does he have a rash anywhere else? I know hand, foot and mouth was goign around.
Or has he had a new food? been out in the cold, could be chapped cheeks?

no rash anywhere else that i can see, and im pretty sure he hasnt had any new foods. today with it being worse after lunch i thought that too but he had mac n cheese...and hes deff had that before and is a cheese maniac so idk what it could be...maybe a heat rash? idk im not a rash guru, hes barely ever had any except for a diaper rash here or there when he was little.

*edit. i say heat rash bc we do have a gas fire place in our house so maybe its just too warm for him in here?

could be a heat rash. my daughter get's pink cheeks when she is warm.
or has he rubbed his face on the floor?
