I say just whip out the boob   I've done that just to stir everybody up. lmao. Either that or I go to a bedroom and nurse. But it really depends on how much your tot is nursing everyday. How old?

Are you planning on pumping while you're there? Because it could get really uncomfortable if you go several feedings using a bottle, without pumping. Probably better to whip out the boob than leak through your shirt during dinner.

But if you're set on it, I would take at least one extra bottle on top of what you think you need so that you have extra.

The only problem is when you give them a bottle you really should pump anyway so you don't miss a feed and get engorged. So either get the boob out or bottle feed and pump.

It'd be better to just nurse while you're there. That way there's no chance of getting super embarrassed bc they leaked.

Either way you're going to have to take those puppies out while family is there.

!

Your boobs would probably be untouchable from engorgement when you left. Plus possible clogs. Makes me hurt just thinking about it.

I'd bf in another room

Oops I forgot to mention she's 3 weeks old. She eats a lot though ! I'm really not sure how much she normally eats... since she's on the boob & I can't see how much intake she has. But I was thinking of pumping now and putting it in the freezer till thanksgiving. and I'm not too worried about leaking because I have those pad thingies

That's true   AHhhhh welllllll.... maybe when they feel like that I could go breast pump in another room while somebodys feeding her? or would that not make any sense at all lmao

Have you gone that long in between feeds?

I'm telling you, your setting yourself up for some pain IMO.

we have been to several family gathering and birthday parties since my DD was born and I just either whip out the boob (modestly of course) or ask if I can go in a room depending on whose house we are at. Some family members don't even know I am feeding her and come up and have complete conversations with me and don't even realize I am feeding her. You will still need to find somewhere to pump.
