I would take an extra shirt, anyways. lol. When LO was that age I would get so engorged if he didn't nurse on time, I would soak through 2 pads and my bra, and my entire shirt would be soaked. Always be prepared

The first 6 weeks are the most crucial for milk regualtion, establishing a good supply and a good latch, you don't wanna be missing feeds without pumping. Honestly just get your boob out, once you do it for the first time you won't care anymore.

you could always grab a blanket or use a cover if you are uncomfortable. It is so much easier just whipping the boob out. I tried the pump on the road thing with my son and it was hell

It's just weird and uncomfortable. Like Idk why I care now, I did not care AT ALL the first 3 days she was born but now i've gotten so self conscious for whatever reason.

Now I'm getting anxiety lmao im such a loserrrrrrrrrr

I got my cover at target for 10 bucks it wasn't expensive at all. I used it the first couple of months because DH isn't exactly public breastfeeding supportive. Now I just feed her and use the double shirt method her head is big enough now that it covers everything and latching is a 5 second process lol (she is 9 months)

Lol just get it out without making a fuss people probably won't even notice.
I've had a full blown conversation with someone before they noticed. I just saw their eyes go down to my boob and widen, he didn't say anything just carried on talking to me, I guess he though I was just holding DS.

i'm whipping my boob out for my 13.5 month old.. don't care what anyone has to say  

Yeah i'll probably ask my hubby about getting me one and yeah He's not supportive at all either which probably is the reason why I coop up in my room when his friend comes over.

I have done this when we traveled back home and visited but you will need to pump while you are there because if you are used to nursing and then don't for several feedings you are going to end up engorged and hurting and i leaked through 2 sets of pads within an hr! just sayin from experience it is easier to excuse yourself and aski if there is a bedroom you can use to nurse in. everyone has been great with me about it

3 weeks seems way too early to feed her with a bottle...my pediatrician advised me not to do it umtil at least 6 weeks....it is best for the baby to be well established as bottle feeding too early can cause nipple confusion. if you havent already started her with the bottle then don't do it yet! breast is best for now =)

TOTALLY understandable! I felt the same way, but now DD is 5 months and I no longer have the anxiety about breastfeeding in public. I don't quite remember when it changed but I had horrible anxiety about it for a couple months at least! You are doing what's best for baby and you doing great momma   I would just bring a cover. Good luck momma  

The best part about NOT taking a bottle...your LO is probably going to get passed around to family and when it's time to feed, you'll definitely be wanting that one on one alone time. I love that when I'm staring to get anxious and want my baby, she starts getting hungry. It's perfect.

Haha That's a very good point and alllmost made me change my mind but she's super fusy when I feed her sometimes & I just don't want her not latching on right & having feeding time take foreverrrr & then I end up not spending a lot of time with family. I'm seriously always cooped up in my room at the house feeding her so it's pretty nice feeding her with a bottle & having her just knock out lol ALSO It will be messy and I'll get breastmilk all over my clothes I feeeel
