Help normalize breastfeeding on Facebook

posted 16th Nov
http://thefeministbreeder.com/the-72-hour-campaign-to-normalize-breastfeeding-on-facebook/

After you read the article, here's her FB
http://www.facebook.com/thefeministbreeder

Basically, she was banned for 3 days(72 hours) over a breastfeeding picture where she wasn't even breastfeeding. There was NOTHING wrong with it, no nipple or anything.
So over the next 72 hours she will be posting 1 breastfeeding picture per hour and wants everyone to like or share it.

Here is the picture she was banned over:

Banned for three days?? That's ridiculous. I have friends who do underwear parties and they are aloud to post pictures of models in underwear!
Makes my blood boil.

The issue would be the people that saw the picture in the first place because they would of had to report the image for it to be removed and they would of had to have marked it as sexually explicit. There isnt some person at FB sitting at a computer hand selecting photos of breastfeeding mothers to take down. Its all done by algorithms and computers.

When someone reports a picture it isn't automatically taken down instantly. Someone or something has to approve it to be removed.

I know I've just been looking at her site!
Cannot believe the woman who reported it as sexually explicit said her kid was the type that would grow up to be a sex offender *face palm*

No multiple people have to report it and based on the options they select of why they are reporting it goes into the algorithm. I promise you there is no one person physically looking at all the pictures that are being removed. 95% of it is all done automatically.

Well then they need to change it. That's the whole point of this.

Meh. I don't agree with her being banned.
But I don't agree with her posting pictures of it either.
Its not a big deal. What are you trying to prove?
Why is it so important to post pics of your kids eating?

Either way this is just my opinion.

And I think its inappropriate to post pics of a two year old on your tit...its just breeding grounds for sickos really...

Why post that smurf on Facebook?

I think people post way to many personal things on Facebook.

She is a feminist. She just wants attention. (not by any means saying all feminist are this way, just the majority are...eh...say, confrontational).
she's looking to fight for anything and everything she can...this is my observation of the situation.

Its just sad she's dragging her children into it.

That's the point; people are reporting them. Whether it is a computer or person that removes the picture is irrelevant, people shouldn't be reporting the pictures. Don't like it? Don't look, unlike them and block their posts from your news feed.

And I'm sure you're one of those people who thinks her kid will be a child molester too.
Why can't she post a pic of her kid eating bacon??? wtf.
I myself have posted pictures of my 2 1/2 yr old breastfeeding because it's something I'm proud of.
You're wayyyyy off.

I'm happy she wants to fight for normalizing breastfeeding. It's a pretty good cause!!

Its not going to change and its not FB fault either. They don't have the time to babysit things like that which is why it was mostly automated in the first place. Maybe she should be addressing the people that said it was a sexually explicit photo instead.

And btw she didnt post the picture to prove anything. She thought it was cute that her daughter chose bacon over boob...WTF

Some women are proud of breastfeeding and want to show it off.
You would only see the picture if you or a friend liked it. If you don't wanna see it then remove it from your news feed.

That's the whole point of thissssss omg. Why would she be posting 72 pictures of breastfeeding kids to normalize it, if she wasn't addressing them? They are who she is addressing. The people who think it's NOT normal...
