She already payed for the coffee and Starbucks is expensive. She's suppose to just dip out and have wasted that money for nothing?

Even if it's Mc Donalds coffee. If you "need" it then you shouldn't care where you get your caffeine fix.

Kids cry. They dont care where you are. It happens. The coffee shop lady was a smurf and doesnt need to be making comments, cause im sure it has happened before and will happen again to someone along the line. But honestly coming from someone who has worked customer service and has a two year old I understand. And it is not something you need to point out to a mother.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds like the Starbucks is inside Safeway (we don't have a Safeway but I think it's a grocery store, right?). While in a normal coffee shop you tend to have the quiet atmosphere..ones in grocery stores are not the same. And even with going slow it doesn't take THAT long to make a coffee so I highly doubt her kids were crying long enough to be seriously annoying and need to be taken outside. There are loud kids at grocery stores, if you don't want to hear loud kids don't work/go to a grocery store or any kiosk in a grocery store.

While her comment was inappropriate, you're child was screaming. A little consideration for others would be nice.

On average a cup is what, $6 ? You're being dramatic. It's not a ton of money here.
And yeah, I'd smurfing walk away from that in a heartbeat if I had two kids spazzing the hell out. Instead of rectifying it by taking them outside to have a talk or hell, even the restroom she instead puts the entire blame on the "old lady" working behind the counter.

A screeching child is just as annoying in a grocery store, wtf

That part was smurffy, sure but $6 is a lot of money for a cup of coffee.

Sounds like you need to learn some respect for other people. No other person in Starbucks wants to listen to your kids scream because you NEEDED that coffee......go home and make some coffee if you needed it that bad. I have a 13 yr old, a 3 1/2 yr old and one on the way and I absolutely cannot smurfing stand when people stand in the middle of an eatery of any sort and let their kids just whine and cry and scream. If that was my child and I knew she was tired or would be getting to the point she was going to act up I would have had that coffee that I absolutely NEEDED at home, simply out of respect for others.

No but it's not the same atmosphere as a quiet coffee shop. When you go to a coffee shop you expect quiet but if you go to chuck e cheese you expect screaming kids. A grocery store is in the middle I feel. You know going to the store that there are going to be kids and being a mom you know that sometimes they act out. It's a part of life.

Okay let me clarify. I DO have control of my kids. My oldest cried for a moment We went outside regrouped and went back in to get wait for the coffee. While we were waiting the youngest screamed ONE time. Not constant over and over again. If that was the case we would've gone out again but no it was one loud quick scream. They also never cry or scream all the other times we have been there so its not like she was "sick of it" from them.

Standing there looking at everyone looking at you and taking offense to their looks and/or comments vs addressing the problem at hand is smurffy. I don't give a crap if you're at a coffee shop, mall or concert. Handle your business.

They put the coffee up on the counter. At minimum I'd have take. My kid out, diffused the situation, and gone back in when my coffee was ready to grab it an run back out.

It's called consideration for others.

And I've walked out without my pre-paid order before. It was at McD's and I ordered a coffee for me and a choc milk for my son and he started screaming to go to the play place NOW and I just walked out---he got no milk AND no play place!
