I'll take the blame for reacting explosively but I don't much see how I can be blamed for not being able to sleep...

No, not to blame. I didn't know. Sounds like you both overreacted. While it doesn't compare.. Hr was tired too and was inappropriate

I think everything calmed down now. I still feel a little guilty but he's forgiven me for exploding and we talked about how I was feeling and its been a nice day so far. I'm hoping I'll doze out later this afternoon for a nap. <3

have you tried unisom? benadryl doesn't work for everyone, and unisom is safe with pregnancy

I havn't. A little afraid to try new things. I'm really sensitive to medicine. Usually one Tylenol PM knocks my fluffy arse out but I've tried it both last night and the night before and all it did was make me sort of loopy. If I don't get any sleep tonight I might just have to suck it up and give it a try. Can I get it over the counter or do I need a prescription? I have my next OB appointment on Tuesday and if I haven't slept by then DH says he's going to demand meds for me himself if I don't. This not sleeping thing can't be too good for the baby, I know its doing one hell of a number on me.

over hte counter. I prefer it over benadryl, it's gentler, but works better for me. if I sit up and wait for it to knock me out.. it rarely does. but.. if I take it and lay down.. I almost always sleep 8 hours. and.. never leaves me groggy like benadryl (tylenol PM is tylenol with benadryl)

W my 1st pregnancy I was 33 wks n suffered from severe insomnia that I ended up in the er for it. My body was so exhausted it would cause hallucinations. My body's way of trying to find sleep. I would forget where I was, who hubby was, how to do anything like eat a bagel. The worst was complete freak outs over where i put the baby. shed be kicking but my brain wasnt connecting the dots. They gave me Ativan bc basically I had a psychotic break but was still alert to know what was going on wasn't right. I had to chop that pill in 1/4s bc it would knock me out for days- my body handles meds differently than most. If u can't find some way to get decent sleep ur body goes into survival mode n will try to find it however it can. My case is prolly extreme n I still have "episodes" when I go days of absolutely no sleep. Talk to ur dr n see if they can recommend anything best of luck!!
