Yeah like that will happen   esp since scanning over the polls, a good majority come from outside of texas. And you see a lot of the same signatures on each secession poll out there.

There is a time and place for curse words. When you really want to be heard, that's not the time nor the place. You win a lot more ears when you coat your tounge with honey, not vinegar.

That's your personal opinion. It is not a fact as you seem to think.

I'd like to add a couple of things here:

First: Houston is actually a very socially liberal but fiscally conservative city. We work hard for what we have and we like the government to stay out of our pockets and personal lives. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but our current Democratic Party loves to impede on both...

Second: Harris County, which encompasses the majority of the Houston Metro area, voted democrat by about 2%, which I find interesting considering our major industries. Most people that I know that voted democrat didn't do so based on economic policies, however, and most did not understand how they would affect them. You have to admit that any group that brought back Sheila Jackson Lee is not know for good decisions.

Third: Racist/redneck/right-wing America? I thought you never used such slurs because they are never funny or appropriate...

Fourth: those that support this healthcare bill are dullards, and I have no problem offending people with that comment.

Calling someone racist isn't a slur just as saying that smurf stinks isn't a slur. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it isn't true. And I support the healthcare bill. I'm not a "dullard" as you say. I'm very pro-socialism and that means I care about taking care of ALL people, not just myself.

I'm very aware of how the world works. I don't constantly use those words but I use them whenever I feel like it. I have never had a problem getting or keeping a job, I have never had ANY issues with the way I talk. Words are words, especially when they're not harming anyone why care so much?

You do realize that this bill does not help ANYONE, right? It just requires you to BUY insurance or pay a fine.

And, look at the history of socialism. It always turns out bad, bad, bad. Socialist countries become lazy and fail.

The socialist countries you are referring to in general were rotten to begin with. Plenty of other examples of more socialist nations who thrive. Plenty of capitalist countries have had issues as well. The requirement itself means nothing it's the addition of funds to help lower income people between assistance, and ability to afford insurance pay.

Oh, so Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France and basically all of Europe are all lazy failures? Because they are all socialist and they're not doing too bad. It's illegal not to have car insurance and no one complains about that. This bill does more than "require you to buy insurance". You are no longer denied insurance because of pre-existing conditions, there are no caps on your healthcare, you cannot be denied coverage for ANY reason...People are turned away from medical care every day in this country. People DIE because they cannot afford healthcare. Is that okay? Should we just keep doing it the way we always have? That seems to be working out really well. And you're aware that those with health insurance already do pay for those of us without, right? Because what hospitals don't get from uninsured people who come to the ER they pass the costs onto insurance companies to make up the difference. So it's already happening. With this bill it will just be distributed more evenly and fairly.

Ask your friends in those countries how long the wait list is to have a breast exam, or general surgery. It's years long. Do you want to wait a year to be seen? I don't. And it's nothing like car insurance. People do not have to drive its a choice, people now HAVE to pay for health insurance. Can you afford 200$ a month per person?

Haha NO, I know several people who live in those countries and it is NOT a year wait for a breast exam. Don't believe everything Fox News tells you honey. And uhm I won't be required to pay smurf because I'm under the income bracket for that, so I don't need $200 a month for health insurance.
