BBT Charters

posted 16th Nov
Hello,

I know I post on here alot, so forgive me ;). This is my first month of charting and all that stuff. I have just been diagnosed with PCOS and I have NO idea what my cycle is. My doctor told me to go by a normal 28 day cycle for TTC, but I don't think that is very accurate for me.

I have been charting my BBT and my doc told me to go by 14 days past my AF for my O day, but I think my chart tells me different. My chart seems to think that I most likely O'd on CD 23. If that is the case, at 6dpo I had a single drop of blood when I wiped.

So what I am really asking is, for all of you lovely BBT Charters to take a look at my chart. Does it look promising? Does it look like I indeed O'ed on CD 23? I am not sure how to read these yet as it is my first month doing it. Any feedback is much appreciated.

Thank you all

-Heather

I can't see the chart w.o logging in but usually there's a dip in temp around o n then it'll spike for 3 days I think. Right around day 7-10 dpo it'll drop a little for implantation. Does ur chart do that? Even when I was charting it couldn't find my o date lol I had to find it on my own n test accordingly.

I can't see the chart & I'm not extremely experienced with temping since I only did it a few months along with OPK's. BUT I have PCOS as well & with my first pregnancy I ovulated around cycle day 23-24, but this pregnancy I ovulated on day 15-16. It can be different for everyone, especially those with PCOS due to the hormone imbalances & fluctuations it causes, so unless your doctor is an RE, fertility specialist or someone experienced with treating/dealing with PCOS, then I wouldn't go by the 28 day cycle advice. I suggest investing in some Internet cheapie Ovulation Prediction pee sticks (I personally used Wondfo this time & was successful) along with temping because PCOS can be tricky to catch ovulation when just doing one or the other. And, just to show you how crazy PCOS can be, this time around from both the OPK's & temping it showed that I ovulated twice the cycle I got pregnant & about a week apart (which from my understanding is nearly impossible, apparently if you drop 2 eggs it happens within a 24-48 hour time period? At least from what I heard other ladies on BG saying). Anyway, at my first ultrasound I had 2 corpus luteum cysts which my doctor confirmed meant that I ovulated twice. I was also on Metformin & I don't seem to ovulate without it, so that might be why I ovulated twice. Anyway, my point is PCOS is freaking crazy sometimes & I think it's best to chart & use OPK's to hopefully shorten your time TTC

Wow! Ovulating twice? I didn't even know that was possible. The only time I ever heard of it is when women conceive twins lol. By the way I posted a photo of my chart up there^^^. I was confused, because by my CM, I would have O'ed around Nov 1st, but by my temps I would have O'ed CD 23. It is crazy confusing, and frankly if I am not preggers this cycle I want to get on some sort of medication...but hubs doesn't want me to. So we shall see. I was just kinda dumbfounded by the single drop of blood around 6dpo plus the dip in temp. I never had to do all this with my son, but....my hubby and I had unprotected sex for 2 years and we were not really trying...just being kinda irresponsible lol. I just hope it doesn't take that long again.

I'm no expert but looks like u may have od round cd20. If ur temps stay elevated u could prolly test in a few days. Idk what ur normal temp range is n neither does the chart is my best guess. Have u tried fertility friend.com to compare data n see if ur o dates line up? All sorts of stuff can throw the chart off like spotting etc.

I just started tracking BBT so I have no data, on top of that, Oct 18th was my first period in 3 months...so that makes it even worse. It is such a pain lol
