Ok, so please try and keep the judgement to a minimum...you could not make me feel worse than I already do.
We live with my inlaws who are the biggest slobs ever and never clean up after themselves..I try and keep up with the cleaning but we've been so busy trying to buy a house that I haven't been able to keep up with everything. For the record, my inlaws are perfectly able to clean up after themselves they just don't.
DH, DD, and I were all in the kitchen..DH cooking, I was getting info for our lender and DD was playing. DH noticed she was chewing on something..pulled a leaf out of her hand and stuck her in her saucer so we could keep a better eye on her. She stopped making the chewing motion so DH thought he got the leaf and that was that. She started chewing again but we just assumed it was on her tongue since that's her newest thing. After like 10 mins DH asked me to check her mouth to make sure since she was still chewing. I pulled out a big chunk of rock hard, nasty old chicken (it looked like it hadn't been cooked before it fell on the floor) Who knows how old this chicken really is, I'm so upset that 1.) something like that is on the floor and 2.) DD had it in her mouth. I can only assume she was actually able to eat some of it since it was like breaking apart.
That was about an hr..maybe hr and a half ago and now DD just puked..shooting out of her nose as well. Could she have gotten sick from this chicken and so soon?? I just feel horrible
It's probably more likely that the chicken was too much on her little belly, and that's why she threw up.
Maybe call and speak to her pedi and let them know that she accidentally got ahold of uncooked chicken and see if they want you to do anything. There's not much you CAN do, unless they want you to induce vomiting which would be silly since she already did that.
I would encourage her to drink lots and lots of fluids to try to flush things out of her system as fast as possible.
Quoting tinana +2:" It's probably more likely that the chicken was too much on her little belly, and that's why she threw ... [snip!] ... up. I would encourage her to drink lots and lots of fluids to try to flush things out of her system as fast as possible."
Thanks everyone! I just feel so bad that she got it and gross that it was on the floor in the first place she has only puked the one time so far and seems perfectly find besides the fact she puked so ill offer her fluids and keep an eye on her and if she pukes more or starts acting funny ill bring her in.
